• So I got a free "inspection" from the dealer today...

So I get my oil changes at the dealer since they are free, came with the car. But unfortuneately the contract ran out, it was 5 years, 90k miles. Its been 5 years(man f-bodies are getting old).

Either way since I was there figure I woudl just pay for it, its, only $22. Took like 2 hours but thats another story.

Either way they do there "free XX point inspection" to make sure my car is good. LOL

    thing they listed
    -tires are getting bald

    Obvious problems
-ABS inop light is on and no rear ABS
-Brakes pads are pretty pad and rotors are really thin
-Rear has some noise in it
-Power steering is whining like crazy(needs a fluid change, cooked it, again :( )

I mean, I understand they will not get every little thing, but these are pretty damn obvious. Hell they mentioned the brakes once like 10 months ago, and they still are the same brakes.

I usually go to the dealer here and they've actually caught some decent stuff. The guy who did the Firebird last caught a small power steering pump leak right before the warranty was up and they'll take the drain plug out and check the differential fluid and stuff most of the time.

They also dented my hood with 1245 miles on the odometer while closing it and caused a massive oil leak on the Trailblazer because of a loose filter, but I don't want to deal with all our cars.

Sounds like you need either a p/s cooler or a Turn One pump..

Sounds like you need either a p/s cooler or a Turn One pump.. </font>
definitely... This is my 2nd power steering pump. I have a SS one half in. The coolant side is hooked up but I need to do the power steering hookups.

Been lazy, got sick for some months, then clutch went out, then transmission went out... Definitely on the bottom of list of things to do recently. Especially since I haven't autocrossed or roadraced it in months.

If I go to the autocross next sunday(probably have to work though) I'll hook it up before then, got fluid and everything ready to go.

This rear has always had a little noise, as long as its been in, I still have my stocker. And I love the auburn diff, if my stocker goes back in, I am keeping the auburn. So I got my moneys worth out of it, even if the gears are bad.

At the moment I am just making sure its not my brakes, or the diff that is making the noise, but once again do to tranny problems and working alot recently, its on the bottom of my list.

Interesting... Are you sure you did not bring my vehicle in by accident? I've got all the same problems. Mines also 3 years older and has 150kmi on it though. One thing is missing from your list though: Hard shifting, sporadic tranny. So you can expect that next. You're welcome for the heads up.
