Cleaning is everything (from a cat sufferer).

Get a good vacuum with an allergen-rated filter/bag, and get everything - the floor, furniture, etc., a couple hours before the game.

Make sure you have a good quality furnace filter and replace it often. Leave the furnace fan running while you vacuum and dust (or the all windows open) to make sure stuff floating in the air doesn't settle back on to everything.

Dust with a damp cloth or something like pledge to trap dust and hair instead of just pushing it around.

Mop the floors too. Swiffer wets work ok here.

The goal is to get the cat dander off every surface, and trap it (wet or filtering) instead of pushing it around. And keep fresh air circulating either with open windows and breeze or a good furnace filter and a running furnace fan.
