Never been a fan of the Elise...the Esprit I used to love. There was a guy down the block from my last house who had one. I have seen one in the paper with 58K miles and it was only $19K.

Very cute little cars. I was told by our local dealership that will be handling them that next year they will be much more available. There is a limited run of them this year. They are also supposed to have a turbo-charged version next year too.
Too bad the car would last about 3 days with the roads around here.
\'01 Mineral Grey SVT Cobra<br />-former F-body owner
A friend of mine drove one when he went over to Europe, he said it was like driving a hot wheels car. Insanely uncomfortable, cramped beyond belief, etc. Handled well and was really fast, though.
Lets not forget what makes it 1400 pounds lighter. No AC, no heat, no sound system, etc.
Pros:
Very light
Acceleration
MPG
Radical looks? (Well, maybe there, they're more common that Coke cans here)
Handling
Wont Rust (Aluminium Chasis,Fibre glass body, no welding....its been glued together!)
Cons:
NIGHTMARE GETTING IN & OUT! (I know, been there!)
Very noisy, the intake in 20cm from the back of your head. Annoyed the hell out of me! We're not talking the Noise you associate with your cars, deep, burble and gruntish, this is a constant irritating NOISE!
No Stereo
No Air Con
No Nothing (it doesn’t even have carpets).....Its a bare as can get engine + 4 wheels...They may have some kudos in the states, but here, they dont get much rep.
There’s better cars for the money! Trust me, we have more choice here and you could do much better!
Just my 2cents worth
(Want speed, looks, luxury and individuality?>....TVR!!!......Trust me! Floor it and you’ll have a face lift in seconds!
i dont care what anyone says. those are some awesome cars. pure drivers car. and yes, it does have the celica engine in it, but its so light that it doesnt matter.
Not much going on, replaced my Kenwood double din stereo with a Pioneer double din, the Kenwood had problems. Then replaced my power inverter for my reverse...
