What can you guys tell me about satellite tv? I've never had it before.

i have directv, and love it, it rarely ever goes out when it storms, it has to absolutely pour for it to go out, and i love it so much more than dish, and the picture quality is so much greater than cable, plus you get the guides and stuff, comparable to digital cable, but better picture quality, more optionsComment

I have had this problem twice since I got DishTV. Once was a storm that caught a church down the street on fire, and the second storm was strong enough to take out three traffic lights, poles and all. Other than that, never had a problem.Originally posted by bret_xi
Hint of advice, from what I have experienced, a wind break of some sort somewhere WEST of the dish helps a lot. Since most storms here travel west to east, I placed the dish about 40 yards from the backside of the neighbors tree, but in a clear view to the southwest where the dish must be aimed for me. I’m new. I actually don’t own a Camaro or firebird. I do have a 2000 Camaro 3.8 fly by throttle and 4l60e. This is installed in a 1980 Triumph TR7...3 weeks ago -
