This is my house as of this morning. Those things on the roof are stacks of new roof tiles waiting to be installed (the original roof tiles were totalled during Wilma last year). I'm about a month away from reaching the top of the installation waiting list.
 If Ernesto keeps moving towards us, it is :wavey: to the roof tiles for another year.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

take them down if they are just sitting there waiting. you dont want them to blow away and be ruined. How about installing them yourself to protect the roof?
Damn dude. Sorry to hear that. I guess put the tile in the garage, so they don't put big holes in the neighbors' windows, and put the blue tarps back on. Maybe he'll (Ernesto) will blow right by.

haha didnt we tell you to keep posting pics and sooner or later you'll wake up to find a camaro carshow at your poolside? seriously tho, as already stated, have a go at them yourself (if ya do i wonder if you could just pocket the insurance money). that or you could always just do a Sacred Indian No-Hurricane Dance  either way, good luck to ya!

Guys, it took two flatbeds, a conveyor belt, four men and about 5 hours of work to get all that stuff up there.
Why would they do that if its just gonna blow off again? Silly floridians. :D
Seriously tho, this is why i prefer Earthquakes to Hurricanes (.. if you can prefer one to the other). I'd hate to just sit there nervously waiting to see if my neighborhood is going to be destroyed... for like the billionth time.

I prefer warning to get the **** out!! an earthquake is like diarrhea, it just hits you and you have to deal with whatever mess ensues.
Lol, very true. But haven't you ever heard of the phrase "ignorance is bliss"? What if someone came up to you and told you you were going to have massive diarrhea and there was nothing you could to about it? Wouldn't you be nervous all day waiting for your *** to explode??
just like you do with hurricanes. you hear its coming, and you prep the **** yourself. And 99% of the time you end up fine.
Either way that sucks, I can tell you right now that is no easy task whatsoever to take care of or fix.
My parents have their new roof all said and done, won't even lose a shingle this storm. And I am prepared for the storm just a little worried if my girlfriend will want to put both our cars in the garage, thats alot of cleaning we need to do.
besides I wouldn't worry too much about this storm if its not hitting the gulf.

I think it might have something to do with licensed contractors and permits. I helped my bro-in-law doing the paper and shingles on his roof in Orlando, and he should have been having pro do it or something.

hehe, its gonna take 15minutes + ernesto and it'll all be gone....Put a sign up that says (to your neighbors) "If you dont want my roof tiles breaking through your windows, you better help me get this stuff down"...its worth a shot....dont worry you think you got problems??? we currently have 3 homes to take care of, 1 we recently aquired, 1 were trying to sell, and 1 that my grandfather owns....and we have 1 day to prepare...what a joke.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
