well, i figure i would start a thread to find out how much people pay for their insurance. I have had my car for almost 6 years and it went from 960 every 6 months to 430 every 6 months in that amount of time. i have gieco.

amateurs.. when i was 18 my insurance went up to $3,700 ($7k+) every six months.. i received "potenially negligent driver" notices from the dmv at that point. as soon as one ticket would drop off, i'd get another one.

when i worked at a large insurance company i saw premiums hit $25k+ when "youthfull" drivers with colorful records end up rated on daddy's porsche. of course that was an error (i've seen a 3 year old rated on a nissan pathfinder too). if you just need liability insurance, your best bet is to find the right carrier. instead of paying 7,400 per year, i ended up paying $42 per month back then. i ended up going to freeway auto insurance - a broker for some high risk investment group that went out of business eventually.

they jack your rates up to a point where you'll go somewhere else on purpose. they don't want your business because they don't like the type of risk you present.

on the mero specifically, I'm paying about $175/6mos. For all my vehicles, it's around $520/6mos

EDIT: and i payed for my car myself and i pay for insurance, mods, gas, repairs anything else i do all by myself

AND can afford an 89 caprice classic(with a 305 and rwd:)) for the winter

and i dont sell drugs, i just work alot

i totaled a camaro already i pay what ever insurance i can a year usually around 3000 but i pay for anything i do to the car

i want rims but it doesnt look like its gonna happen

I just turned 21 and had been paying 60 a month for 2.5 years for full coverage with 0 deductable on my 02 Camaro. I now pay 50 a month for the same coverage with my 99 Trans Am. I have Allscam :D

Can you give me the number for allscam I think I'm gonna switch. I'm paying 450 every 6 months with state farm. Never had an accident and haven't had a speeding ticket in 4 years, stupid virginia, rather haven't been caught in 4 years.
