I made an appoinment well over a month ago for my car to be taken by this family friend(who owns a garage) to swap my rear end, put on a driveshaft, panhard and bigger sway bar.....i took it too him tuesday and JUST TODAY 30mins b4 closing he lets me know he started working on it...
this is taking forever and its driving me nuts...i hate people who arent on time for anything, ever...
i have no patience for people who are inconsiderate. what if this was my daily driver and i needed it back in a couple days?
Does he run a business out of this garage? Ever think he maybe has more customers than just you and his work load is behind schedule. I guess he isn't really your friend if this is how you can talk about him and feel perfectly fine with it. :( He has a life too, I'm sure he will finish your car soon enough and it will be a great finished project that will leave you satisfied and no longer angry that it took so long.
With the rearend being the majority of the work.....you could have done everything else in your driveway with jackstands in roughly 3 hours or so. I havent changed rearends in my ride yet, but I've done everything else you mentioned. It wasnt too bad...just have him change the rearend, you do everything else and save yaself some $$$.
im keeping my drums brakes bcuz of lack of funds...so he has to tear into the axle...otherwise i woulda done it myself... but im doing a bunch of other little things...Mike and Dan...u know i dont have the "resources" which also cost money lol
Stock PHB bolts will work just fine IF they arent too rusty or they dont break when you are taking them out. I bought the bolt kit for my LCA's and PHB and I'm really glad I did cuz the bolts were in pretty bad shape.
Not much going on, replaced my Kenwood double din stereo with a Pioneer double din, the Kenwood had problems. Then replaced my power inverter for my reverse...
