I would take #3 because if your going to go to a v8 an LS1 is your best route. Easier to work on and from what I hear respond quite well to modifications, i.e. bolt ons.
Let's flip a coin. Heads I get tail, Tails I get head.

        1. is going to go alot higher
        2. no opinon do you need a core or something? that price is really cheap for all that. 3 looks better anyway.
        3. make sure that comes with everything you need, going from an auto to a manual you need alot of stuff, brake and clutch pedal, master cylinder, resovoir, all the lines, tranny mount, d/s , shifter/shift nob if it doesnt come with it. and for the motor your need the rad, rad hoses, springs ( kinda ) motor mounts, k member, starter, alt., p/s pump, p/s cooler ( kinda ), crossmember, computer, wiring harness, and then you have the of so fun job of splicing pretty much everything.

personally id just go ls1, but its alot more involved.

Unless you want some numbers matching v6 I don't see why it would matter. The ls1 will give you the most bang for the buck just make sure it is in good shape and like loser said that it does come with what you will need to do the swap. If you got the money to do the swap consider getting a tubular k member and your weight diff will almost be a wash from the iron v6 to the aluminum v8.

true, however im 100% sure that's not going to go for under 6 grand. the procharger kit with the tensioner alone is around 4 grand. add on the rest, its not going to go for under 6 grand, i just dont see it happening.

dont waste the time/money on a swap.

get another 3.4 or get a new car.

we all love our fbodies but we have to realize, especially 3.4ls, theyre not worth much and are very replaceable.
