I immediately realized what was happening and grabbed the t top handle above my head.
I had taken the t top out during a stop and had not put the handle back into the latched position. That whoshing noise triggered an immediate response from me to slow down and hang on. I was on Florida's Turnpike and pulled off to the side.
Woot - no loss of t top!
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

i have a whistling because the body shop didnt line up my window completely right, but oh well, i will fix it one of these days, but yeah i hope that doesnt happen to me, i dont see how it could, i've checked my brackets and they look good, and i couldnt imagine forgetting to latch
This reminds me of the thread awhile ago when people seemed to be losin them left and right. Take off the a-pillar trim and check to make sure that the spot where the locking pin goes in is adjusted and tight. Good thing to check before we all start taking them off for the summer.
i had the EXACT same situation happen once. I beat myself up for it for like 5 days afterwards because if you know me, i'm am VERY thorough in everything I do. From homework to car repairs... i dont leave anything un-double checked, so when i was holding onto my top for dear life, i FREAKED.
