  • Faster than I thought

The 3.4L is a lot quicker than I thought it would be. My car is undefeated against all my friends' cars since I started driving it about a month ago.

I raced a I4 Fusion, which has the same amount of HP and weighs 100lbs less and beat it badly off the line, and from a roll beat it by over a car length.

I raced a mid-90's Maxima (not sure what the specs on those are) from a dig and we were dead even until I hit third gear then I pulled hard on him.

I raced a 1991 Eagle Talon, something I thought for sure could take my car, and I raped it. It wasn't even a challenge.

Also raced some other stuff, like Silhouettes, Aerostars, and Cutlasses, but I expected to beat those.

go hop into a 3.8 and be blown away :P I don't know the power difference between the two, but I've heard it's quite abit. If you're that happy with a 3.4, imagine an 8 cylinder sitting in your drive :D

Okay, but you have to wait until next year. By then my car will have an LS2 in it.

I take it this must be your first car?

The 3.4 is not quick by any standard, it's a 17-second turd.

It's alright though...I was proud of mine too at one point, then moved on to the 3.8, and now an LS1.

Ok, mwood. Whenever you get that LS2 in there, you let me know. I will race you with my 3.8. When I win, can I have your engine?

No, I'm coming from a 1993 Ford Thunderbird though. So compared to a 140hp tank, this car feels a lot quicker.

Is the 3.8 really THAT much better? I wanted to get a 3.8, but all the ones around here that were in my price range had the **** beat out of them. Aside from the front end fading, mine's it pretty much in flawless condition appearance wise.

And yes, Vanquish, you can have the engine. With my luck, I'd hit the gas, go sideways into a tree and the engine would jump out somehow into a truck bed conveniently waiting that will ship it to you for free. And the driver will oddly have a strange fetish of taking pictures of you standing next to the engine pointing and laughing.

difference isnt too much... when my car was 100% stock i raced a 3.4 100% stock, and i beat it by half a car.

it's alot different, 3.4's have no top end (the peak hp is really low rpm if I remember)
