Hello Everyone! new guy saying hi

I am new to the forum and just thought i would say hi. I joined because I am looking to buy a late model 4th gen v6. I will say I have learned a great deal reading your posts, and if anyone can think of any other good sources of information that i should check out before making my purchase that would be great. I do have one question that I have not seen. I would like to find a y87 but since the used car factory only has so many options i was wondering if the quicker steering ration was due to a different rack, If so has anyone done that conversion? thanks.

the y87 uses the z28/trans am steering rack if i remember correctly. it can be swapped.
