the dealership where I bought my car changed the oil for me as a first time freebie, anyways they end up trying to charge me for a new belt after one of the idiots in the back sliced my belt in too trying to take off the oil filter, wanted $94 for the new belt, needless to say I ended up getting it for free
oh, you don't know? All the real mechanics use chainsaws to take the oil filter off...it's the mark of a highly-trained professional
so my method of a hacksaw isnt correct?!

nope, you need a motorized blade whipping around in the tight space under your hood. It's the only way to do it right
so thats why my belt is still on there, huh, ill have to check that out.
in all seriousness, i really dont understand how he told slice the belt, even if whatever he used slipped off, i dont see it hitting the belt, never mind damaging it.

the best explanation that can be offered from our POV is that the power of stupid knows no bounds.

I fkn hate Firestone too. They tried to tell me that the VIN code letter H on my '83 Trans Am stood for "High Output" when I knew it stood for my LG4 motor. I wanted to cause bodily harm on him on the spot but I remained cool and wrote to the District Mgr. They closed down a few months afterwards.
I have a video to share, I guess several of you have seen it but it's them shady techs at Jiffy Lube scamming a news channel station gone undercover to shed some light about what goes on to make a quick buck in this trade. It's similar as to what goes on in any so called car care specialist.

Was that something to really get all pissy over? I mean, a tireshop misread a letter in your VIN corresponding to a completely different component of the car...people call my Firebird a Trans Am all the time, and that's about the same amount of harm done to you, but I have yet to get all high-and-mighty and write their district manager about it.
It just seems in the grand scheme of things, I'd much rather have them call my car a Camaro than to mess up w/e maintenance I'm paying them to do.

I'm sorry but you're the last person to be telling other people not to get pissy...
