I can't figure out how to renew my membership on XBOX live... the menus only give me an option to create a new account. i dont want a new account, i have one! i just want to play COD4 online, is that asking too much?

When i set up my live account, I had the option to 'revive' an old account. Did you try going into the create new account and see if there is an option to renew an old account? -

there's actually different amounts of time you can get. 50 for a year is the best deal.
50=year+month
30=3 months (i think)
10=1 monthComment

Whoever said don't call their customer service.. eh yeah whatever to that. Their customer service has been the best I've ever called. 1-800-4MY-XBOX They'll help for sure if you're still stuck.

should be able to retrieve your old membership if you had one with regular xbox, thats what i did.1999 v6 Camaro M5
