  • Its a mix, but ok.

Thankfully I get my car back on Wednesday. Its taken a while, but yeah...I've been working on it side-by-side with my new mechanic making sure everything goes right and nothing looks odd and out of place. No worries, its a good thing.

On to another subject, I've been looking at wheels lately, and it seems that I like the Cobra wheels off of 99-01 Mustangs. The reason why, is because I like the 5 spoke design and the size (17x8s or 17x9s, either way, a good footprint for the road). I'm wondering if it'll look good, bad, or ugly.

Dont put Mustang wheels on your Fbody...

I dont even think they are the same lug pattern or back spacing anyhow.

Yeah, but I'm finding an abundance of Cobra rims around OKC for 300-400 a set (4). Some with tires, and Corvette rims are somewhere around $800 a set (4) and usually dont have the tires on them. Trust me, if I could find a $400 set of 17x9 ZR1s, I'd already have them.

I thought you took it to the Chevy dealer?

Ok. The car's officially at City Chevrolet in downtown Oklahoma City being outfitted with a brand new engine. 0 miles, same price.

You are working along side a mechanic at City Chevrolet in downtown Oklahoma City??? I have never seen a Chevy dealer even allow a customer in the shop....

Nice, what did you purchase from GM, a 3.8 long block?

Thanks for the help regarding the wheels, I guess I'll have to search elsewhere. It was just a thought though.
