eh sry havent seen any of these threads around. Being made fun of is funny to me, I was just seeing if where I live had different reactions than other places.
I think you mean V8 guys need the extra power to haul around their huge d**ks
No...not even close. That is the complete opposite of what I said. They need a V8 to impress because thats all they have, they can't make up for the loss in the pants.
For example, I drive a beat to hell '95 Monte Carlo, because I don't have to impress everyone with a car, I have what I need to impress the ladies, and alot of it. Personally, it gets uncomfortable at times.
Most people with V8's are the ones taking the pills and lotion to make themselves bigger, which leads me to a question, is that the reason why I see more V8 drivers with Mickey Mouse hands all the time?

Same reaction here were I live. Probably even worse considering 80% of the 1.8 million in the Hampton Roads area ( Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, New Port News, Suffolk, Chesapeake, and Hampton VA) are Military.. Alot of different opinions here. Also alot of people didnt buy there cars when the F-body was still being made.. I bought mine back in 2000 and got alot of Crap for not getting a V8 then.. Now since there hasnt been a F-body for 6 years they are starting to get a little rare out there..I know I wave at every F-body when I am driving my T/A.
Its the same with people ragging on Turbo 4 bangers.. I get alot of crap for having a little Daytona.. Its my beater so I dont really care but cant we all just get along??
Maybe its because you ***** and whine about getting made fun of...who cares? Buy a V8 or god forbid stand up for yourself!
I have two V8's so that must make me a super-duper *******?
I don't think he cares, I think he was just trying to find out if it was a v6 thing. Don't knock the guy for asking a question, he was just trying to become informed. I don't care if there have been a whole bunch of posts about it, comments like that are what discourages guys from using the board. And i'm gonna get **** for standing up for him but whatever. Nice v8 btw...:naughty:lol

wow, it sounds like you're reeeeeeally defensive. While I'm sure you have whatever you need to impress the ladies, and "alot of it" (notice the quotes, cause i found that part of your post even more funny than the rest of it), you're still driving a car thats designed for a V8. So why do you hate V8 cars so much? Is it cause you own a V6 and you're jealous? Cause i honestly don't understand. Perhaps it somehow comes from the fact that you "impress the ladies so much that it makes you uncomfortable" (notice the quotes again.) But i seem to appreciate both v6's and v8's regardless so i guess i just don't understand.

I wasn't being defensive, more just as a joke than anything, but how is a 1995 Monte Carlo designed for a V8? I own two cars, im pretty sure between the both of them I could muster up the cash for a V8.
Most people here know me as being very devout to the 3800 Series II. Always have been. Its always been my philosophy with these cars that anyone can take a V8 and make it go fast, honestly, its not impressive. But to do it to a V6, thats something different.

yea... i get made fun of for haveing the "non-real" or "wannabe" or "whimpy" version of the camaro... even though everybody around here has a fourbanger or a truck (i live in a hick town, where everybody is either A) wanna be gangsta or B) a hick)... so i don't let it bother me, cause i would be most of the people:)

I was talking about the camaro, not the monte carlo. While i'm not saying that making a v6 go fast isn't impressive, but if thats why do you own a v6, why not buy a 4 cylinder car and make it go fast? Wouldn't that be more impressive and therefore better in your mind?
Why is a v6 that runs 13's more impressive than a v8 that runs 10's? The improvement would be the same.
I'm not trying to start anything, I am only curious.

I joined a month and a half after you bro.
I see were you are coming from but from my standpoint of owning and fully building a V6 F-body and owning 2 LS1 cars, and also owning 2 turbo 4 bangers I think I can relate to what he is trying to say..
It is more impressive or fulfilling for me anyway to have built up my V6 Firebird then it is to mod my WS6 for the simple reason that my firebird was the base model firebird, with the high performance model the V8 LS1 cars.. My V6 made 370rwhp untuned.. After I did the heads and cam built motor nobody asked me if my car was a V6 anymore, Everyone including LS1 owners asked me what cam I was running in my Formula!! Anyone on here who remembers what my car sounded like and what it looked like could vouch for that.. My car beat down on a 02 Z06, 05 Corvette, and my buddies Cam, 4400 stall, full bolt on 99 T/A .. Thats what makes modding a V6 firebird in my eyes more impressive then having a 11 sec T/A .. I can go to the track and see 20 V8 Fbodies run 11-12 sec passes but its not to often when you see a 11 sec V6 F-body at the track..
Jeff ..
1998 Firebird.. Built 3.8 with a 125 shot.. 370rwhp,415rwtq.. stock tune!! sold
Not much going on, replaced my Kenwood double din stereo with a Pioneer double din, the Kenwood had problems. Then replaced my power inverter for my reverse...
