So I got this big floor Jack from my Dad's work bc it had a small leak and they were gonna throw it out... well I've used it for about 2 years now and it has finally lost enough oil to make it ineffective... what oil should I get and where from...

    Re: Hydraulic Fluid

use transmission fluid...honestly. i know the crap about trans-x is up there somewhere, but we used to have a lift at work that would leak fluid, so when it wouldnt put the car quite all the way up we knew it was low, so we just put some tranny fluid in it.

That's the thing, I went to our local auto supply planning on buying just that, but there were like 10 different grades, and since it's something I know nothing about (and neither did the clerk) I thought I'd ask first... guess I'll try the tranny fluid since I already have some in the garage...

        thanks
