Ok, so I'm on my way home today from the north side of town when someone flags me down and tells me my right rear wheel was wobbling. I jack it up, and sure enough, it was loose. 3 lugs were just about to fall off; all on one side, making the wheel wobble horribly. I tighten them up, and set her down to find out that it was still wobbling with a sad creeking noise too. I call up a wrecker and have it taken to my mechanic. My mechanic takes a look and comes back to me saying someone tried to take the wheel. It seemed like someone wanted them, then realized that they were factory OEM wheels painted black, and gave up leaving a nice surprise for me. 1 bent stud, 2 broken, 2 stripped, and a stripped lug. Oklahoma has rough roads, so I didnt notice it until I got to a more smooth road and someone flagged me down about it. THANKFULLY someone caught it before they broke off and I'd basically be looking for a new car, or worse. I hate living in an apartment complex. However, I did buy 6 sets of locking lugs, each with different keys. Overall, I spent over $200 on someone's act of stupidity. Looks like I'm also getting the alarm installed too, thanks to my parents for the cash-aid to get a good one.

I live in an apartment too. Three vandals so far this month.
People have nicked my wife's SUV several times already, my truck's side mirror had been broken, and others have tried stealing my car cover.
I try my best to make friends with everybody here for the sake of my cars.

apartments suck, i live in a really nice and pretty expensive complex and some jack off tired to STEAL MY CAR. (not my camaro but my dd bonneville) they broke the back quarter glass and busted up the steering coloum. thank gm for making the chipped keys otherwise those bastards would have had my car.Comment
