• ATTN: 12secv6, weight reduction.

You probable are have this down to an art more then anyone else around here. List anything that comes to your mind, either for overall weight reduction or weight tranfer reduciton.

I plan on
-jack\spare(been out for nearly a month)
-front sway bar
-passenger and rear seats
-thing that covers cargo area
-all useless crap
-empty window washer fluid
-maybe Catback exhaust(I run open pipe after CAT)

I might take the carpet out, and some interior moldings, not just for the reduction, but DAMN my carpet is dirty, maybe I can clean it better with it out.

Thanks in advance

I've been researching it here and there.
Some are weight reduction and some are transfer and some are both
Weight reduction:
1) My jack and spare tire came out and a AAA plus card went in its place.
2) front sway bar, bolts and endlinks came off for 12 lbs
3) rear seats both came out plus the rear seat belts
4) front passenger seat has come out before 36 lbs?
5) thing that covers the trunk, gone, 1-2 lbs?
6)empty washer fluid resevoir, hey I do it :D
7) light weight a arms, 7.5 lbs each
8) light weight k member, 18 lbs
9) manual steering unit, 10.5 lbs
10) fiberglass hood (I'm told amost 30 lbs)
11) front bumper supports (I'm told 30-40 lbs?)
12) rear bumper supports (I'm told 20-30 lbs?)
13) weld drag lites for the front (15 x 3.5 rims with 175 80 tires weighing in at 26 lbs each)
14) 1 piece driveshaft (maybe 5 lbs?)
15) 2 seperate vibration dampening devices, one on torque arm (doughnut shaped) and one on the end of the tranny (just plain funky looking)
Weight transfer:
1) Both my amps and capictor are mounted in the trunk on the wall where you access the rear tail light assemblies.
2) No stb
3) 10 inch sub mounted in thunderform enclosure

I've done all of the above except for the hood and bumper supports.
I've got a weight reduction list from ls1.com
Let me find itThis is from the legend the colonel from ls1.com
Let's go on a diet...
(BTW, I have done nowhere near all of these ideas myself.)

Feel free to make suggestions and to add guesstimations or factual info as to how much weight any of the ideas remove. I'll add that info to the list.

Weight removal list!
