  • Will SES light effect times on the track

    Well having my SES light effect the performance of my car therefore effecting my track times. I was looking to go to the track for the first time and I wanted to make sure that my car wouldnt run different. Should i get it fixed before i go, its been on ever since i put my intake on.

    look in your engine & make sure your IAT sensor is in the proper spot

    make sure it didn't get caught in the belt & get ripped off, heheh...

    It's a sensor at the end of a wire that plugs in somewhere in your intake.

    but yes, you should get that SES light checked out before you go to the track. Could make you run slower, could be warning you of a real problem.

      The light being on by itself does not affect performance in any way.. but what caused the light to turn on might.

      If you have an SES light from no cat, your fine. If you have an SES light from a lopey cam misfire, your fine.

      If you have a SES light because cyl 2 isn't firing for some odd reason, well then performance is affected.
