• At what RPMS do most ppl launch

On the track out here in San diego I cant get anything goind, maybe 1500 on street tires. It makes me sad, cause around town I can launch at about 3000 now. I try more and more each day. Man it feels great to launch @ that RPM with no spin, but at the track they just spin, Crappy track. =( Im on the stock Tq Converter I asked somewhere else if anyone knew the Stall rpm -

Well I have a manual but... On my Kumho's I can only launch about 1100-1200 rpm.

With the nittos I should be able to launch around 1600-1700... I dunno really b/c I've only made 2 runs with the nittos. Maybe with a good burn out and lower air pressure I could launch a lot harder.

With street tires you want to avoid the water box, then spin them over once or twice to clean them off. Most street tires do worst if you do a burn out.

I launch used to launch at 3,000 on street tires. With the 3.73 gear I cant launch no higher then 2,200 and I still spin a but load.

I usually launch at around 1800 rpms. I get regular 2.04 60 foots with a best of 2.03.

Street - dead hook (most of the time ) with a 1,400rpm stall and then flashing the converter.

Track - (it sucks) but the best I can muster is a 2.12 doing a 1,700-1,800rpm and on the third yellow, release the brake and THEN hit the gas...kinda like a rolling go. Oh I usually stage shallow as well so it's like a rolling start

deep staging gives u a better RT and better 60' but it can hurt ur ET

I launch at about 1500, its the highest ive tried to go.

I launch 3500-4000 depending on the track prep, I once dead hooked around 4500 :D

All are usually dead hooks as long as I compensate for the incompentency of the track prep, on street tires.

I cut 2.0XX-2.1XX 60's pretty consistantly, like I said depending on the random track prep.
