• new times but not what i expected??

went to the track last night, there were so many people there but i wanted to run on the new verter to see how it would do... i only got two runs in here is the better of the two...

2.0002 60ft
6.0681 330ft
9.4476 1/8th
73.13 1/8mph
12.3955 1000ET

14.9107 14ET
89.76 1/4mph

its a new best time but compared to my last time at the track...(see webpage for timeslip) i dropped my 60ft down by .2834 and my et only dropped down by .01 and my 1/4mph went down by 2.5mph whats the deal with that??? same track conditions as the last time only difference was had a little more gas, 2800 torque converter/tranny cooler, and bmr sfc's, if anyone could help me out with this i would appreciate it... does the torque converter kill the top end or what??? btw on my other run, my 60ft was a 1.99xx i was real happy with that, it was better than a friend in a 98 z28...

possibly the converter, perhaps you just have to get used to the converter. many people improve a few 1/10's just by getting used to the new stall speed.

times look about right to me. the last time you went out to the track i think you got lucky running what you did without an aftermarket torque converter. either way, for RCR, a 14.91 with some exhaust work and a torque converter is pretty good. go to hrp and you'll pull 13s for sure good job man!

The same thing happened to me about two weeks ago. That's why I hadn't posted any new times. My 60 ft dropped .24 to a new best of 2.2070. Nevertheless, I still ran a 15.8075. Oh, my R/T's are now in the .60's. :D

Anyway, I was launching from 2200 and rolling into WOT. No spin. Next time I go, I will launch 2800-3000 still rolling into WOT. I tried testing on the street by flashing from 2500 and 3000rpm. That's supposed to be a softer hit, right? Wrong! I spun like a motherfu**a! I wouldn't dare try flashing from idle.

Oh well, we'll see what happens next time.

it's amazing how i pull 14.7s, with a bit higher a stall on my converter than you guys, and yet i still get talked trash towards about my sucky times. maybe i'm mistaken about the trash talk, and maybe all of the v6 f-bodies in central texas just suck?

personally, i think we are all doing well =) aminor, i think your times will improve quite a bit if you went to a not-so-crappy track (temple), but i doubt you'll see mid 14s. merlin, i think in good weather you could see 14.7x/14.8x easily, possibly better. btw, you gotta get me the hookup on the exhaust work, cause i've heard you have some mad work done on your car. :D

Yeah, I think me and my car both suck. It's looks mean with the TT IIs though. Agressive! I can't use the track as an excuse on that day though. It's okay. I got some stuff on the way in the mail as we speak. Fu** the bullsh**!

Yeah, I'll try flashing from 2500 and 3000rpm at the track again. Hopefully, I can get at least 3 runs in.

SQUEEEEZE!!! NX Wet kit. Gonna run a 50 shot, never more than a 75.

Real horsepower or fake horsepower? Doesn't really matter to me anymore, long as I go faster at the track. :D
