You have an 07 Camaro? I wish I could travel through time.

Seriously though, just put it in drive and floor it. That's what's been said here before.

Put it in the normal drive position, i.e. overdrive.

Its an e-automatic and will shift the same either way, its electronically controlled and the gear selector is just a "this is the highest gear I'll let it shift" limiter... it has no affect on shifting.

Somebody around here posted that they throw it in nuetral about the 1/8th mile. Claiming it makes you faster when you aren't putting power down. I about fell out of my chair laughing my @$$ off.

But, I think the prefered method if you don't have any tranny work is to put the car into drive, and put the pedal to the floor and leave it there.

Put it in drive, hold the brakes firmly, push the gas, to not sure what RPMS, someone should pip in with it, then let go and floor it. If you spin then do not put the rpms so high and laucnh at a lower level until you get it jsut right...

If you have street tires I woudl not put less then 30 psi in them.

PUt it in reverse and floor it. :D

As to what rpms to hold it, you'll have to experiment. My car has 3.08's its poop no matter what rpm i launch. It seems to bog too much when I hold it above 2100, but I've been easy on my car and don't practice like I should :D . It spins too easily if there is any water or sand on the road, otherwise not at all.

THe thing I like about our cars is that you won't (from what i understand AND have experienced) lose a whole lot of power if you don't power brake. At least not as much as some other vehicles. RIght?

i either leave it in 3rd(drive) or OD and just flash it on the last yellow. I run about 32 in my kumho's all the time. on the street, watch the light b4 urs, and on red, punch it if the lights aren't timed stupidly(like w/ turning lights, over 1 second of time in between light changes, ect.)

You should be at a maximum of 22 PSI in the rear, 40+ up front if you are drag racing. You can safely work with between 15 and 22 pounds of air at the track to help you gain traction.
