Anyways my best time was 16.849, i really want to go back next week and see if I can beat my old time. Its fun stuff out at the drags http://webpages.charter.net/camarov6/timeslip1.JPG

My best time was 16.000@88 with a girl in the car. After that run I couldn't get traction at all. The 16.0 was against the 76 Monte Carlo my dad had for over 20 years but I found out the guy is pulling the engine soon to put in another car and selling the body. :( At least I got to ride in it one last time.
He had the Monte Carlo weighed and it's 5500 lbs with him in the car, so about 5300 lbs without a driver. It was running low 17s. Not bad for a completely stock car that weighs that much. It does wicked burnouts too. :D

quote:
Originally posted by Camaro_SLP: Damn, what kind of ricer did you race running a 17.7?

Um.....
That "ricer" would be me.
That was my last run of the night and I was almost out of gas. I couldn't stop spinning while launching and gave up and shifted to second to get traction. Then I was trying to shift to third and missed the gear and couldn't get it into gear for like the first time ever. I got it into gear and gave up and shifted to fourth and just finished the 1/4 at about half throttle.
I got to run like 15 times or more but I parked for a while then came back. The other guy I raced knows who he is!!! I wont say any names. I racing 02PewterBird in his camaro and one him once, every time I raced him I was able to kick his butt of the line but after he would hit 3rd gear he would start to pass me. I think my car did great against his 3.8L, plus I have almost 100,000 miles on my car, not to shaby. :D
