Now that I've broken into the 15's (much farther than I expected I might add) I think 14's are not that far out of reach without even touching the motor. I think if I do headers, invest in either a set of drag radials or a decent clutch (or both), and a bit more weight reduction and I'll be real close.
-1le sways
-lt1 driveshaft
-lt1 rear with lsd/3.42s
-homemade intake
-$20 muffler on the y-pipe(No Cat)
-asp underdrive pulleys
-salad shooters with bad 235 tires
-plugs/wires
If I remember correctly, no weight reduction.
dude you shoudl be able to get better, I was cutting 2.0 60's you do that and you got me beat.
personally I don't think 14s n/a are unattainable at all in a 3.4L I thought about it too when I had mine. But then my 3.4L started to die :( and I moved on.

I know, my 60's are not the best. I've got 160k miles on the motor and original clutch and always seem to be 100+ miles from home when I go to the track, so I'm not launching like I should be for fear of toasting the clutch. That's why I'm asking all the questions about your clutch! ;) Hopefully if I put a Spec in I could nail some of these 3000rpm launches and get a 2.1 or better yet a 2.0 60'.
Thanks James! Stock untouched motor with 160k miles. Not any major kind of weight reduction either, just spare tire, jack, etc. My list of bolt-ons is up in post #3.
