• Stupid question

Can any one tell me how I can remove my shifter knob on my 92 f-body. I recently aquired a leather covered handle and need to know how to take the old shifter off to replace it.

if its an auto , there is a pin in the front of the shifter .shift it down to first to make it easier. then use a screw driver or needle nose plyers to pull that pin out (it looks like a staple when its out) and after you get that out the knob will come right off . if its a stick , im assuming it would thread off like my s10 does
