  • Front License Plate Frame

Has anyone ever had to mount a front license plate frame on their 1991-1992 Firebird? I got a frame 'cuz I now live in Texas, but there's no hardware for it, just a plastic frame from the stealership here. I can see how and where it would fit, but I'm not sure if I should just screw it straight into the front end, or if I should drill holes and try to put bolts in and secure it with nuts on the other side or what. . .any thoughts?

I was thinking of doing that w/my bird cause OH & TX require front plates, but I'm just gonna keep it on the dash.

If you have to keep it on the front bumper, do teh second thing.

There is a stock bracket that was made for the 91-92s that you can (should be able to) get from GM. I don't know the price. I have sold a couple of them on ebay but I don't have any right now. Drilling holes and bolting the plate to the front can damage the nose and cause the paint to spiderweb.

Yeah, I ordered this one specifically from a Pontiac dealership here in Amarillo, I specified the year and everything. . .I've seen other cars like mine with the same holder on it, but I don't know how to get it on there.

I think you have something different from what I am talking about. The bracket I am referring to is the hardware that the license plate frame bolts to.
