Its gonna be alot easier and CHEAPER for you to just buy a z28 or trans am. The LT1 trans ams and z28's are easily available for around 4 or 5k. You are gonna spend that much in the swap alone.

^agreed unless you have alot of body mods etc that you are in love with and dont want to part with then its easier and cheaper to buy a Z or LT1 Trans am

Ok what about rebuilding the 3.4 or put in a 3.8? And what about putting a carb on it?

If you get a donor car with everything you need, it won't cost as much as everyone says. Just try to get the same year as your car so it is straightforward.

I don't know, it will be easier for me since I have a 2002, all I would need to do is get a 2002 and I would only have to swap the mandatory components (engine, trans, cradle, radiator, fuel pump, guage cluster, harness, coolent hoses, throttle system, and suspension.. though I would upgrade that anyways), and that's it. If I had mismatched years I would have to change more.

Just look at that chart to see what you will need. Either way if you want to do the swap, it's SO much easier to just get a donor car.. just find a car that got its rear end slammed but everything up front is perfect.
