  • Neon Question

Yea yea yea, i know, stupid neons. But i saw a website with some guy putting blue led or neons into the nostrils of his 98+ bird hood. i was thinking of doing almost the same but with subtle green leds or neons in the holes of the pre 98 bird nose. i wanted to know if its been done before, if it would look stupid, or any other thoughts on it. if it has been done i would like to see pictures if someone can find them.

    thank you
    jeff

it'd be different, thats for sure. i'd like to do some interior neons, but blue neons are illegal in south carolina.

While I don't think it looks so bad, blue is certainly illegal as it's a color only police can use. There is a different law for just about every other color as well, so it's up to the cops whether or not you will be ticketed. Around here, I know, for blue at least, that you will be ticketed.

It looks okay, I couldn't see doing it to a T/A if I had one but it's just me

                  Re: Neon Question

i think if it were a bit less bright and a bit more subtle like you said you would do it would look good actually... but in reality i think you should do it with one bright red one and one bright blue one.. you could flick them on at night when theres nothing on radar detector and pretend your chasing somebody

If I saw that behind me on the street, i'd laugh.

at a car show it might look cool tho.

Looks more like kit than ricer to me, I think I'm doing something like that on my 95 camaro hideing blue lights behind my fog lights behind my grill. its only illigal while your driveing.

O god, you so should do green. Then, when you turn them on, it'll look like your bird has a cold :)

well, im not talking about the hood on mine. i have the pre 98 bird (1997) so i was thinking of putting something like that in where people usually put foglights. it is pretty low and wouldnt be very distracting, plus it would mostly be for shows or when im parked somewhere or something
