I might be getting a set of polished Y2k's for my 95 camaro. The guy says that they are OEM. Honestly I don't really care but my question is will they fit fine and not rub? There 17x8.5's up front with brand new 245/45/17 tires and 18x9.5's in the rear with 285/40/18 tires. The rear tires need to be replaced and I'm going to go with the OEM size of 275/40/18. I've read that some people needed to use a 1/4 wheel spacer on the rears and others have not. Anybody know for sure?
275/35/18 will be the better choice for your rear wheels, bringing the diameter difference to .3" front to back, and very close to stock overall diameter.
And depending on the offset, the wheels shouldn't rub.
on my 95 i have 18X9.5 all the was around and at the time i didnt have the cash to put the 275/35/18 on them i put 245/40 or something like that but they should fit with no issues mine are OEM
