  • Drips of oil

OK, so I searched and read up on this issue and I just want some clarification.

I have 2 or drips of oil under my car by the rearend diff, and there appearers to be a drip or two from in between my transmission and engine a little to the right of the center of the car. Car is a bit greasy there two, both the colours of the oil seemed to be roughly the same colour, no red in them at all.

Is this all Rear end leakage? thanks in advance for the help.

The leak near the diff will most likely be a bad pinion seal in the rear, easy fix.

The other leak is prolly engine oil, and could be coming from several places. Try looking on that side of the motor to see where the grease starts.

I just did a flashlight check of the engine bay and I can't see any evidence of oil dripping from anywhere. I also checked my engine oil level and it seems to be fine.

I have the same problem. I propped the car up and checked it out...It is dripping from the driveshaft/U Joint housing closest to the differential. I just didn't know what it was, now I do...Pinion Seal...Where would be the cheapest place to buy one.

I think mine was under $3 at Autozone.
