  • Fog lights underpowered?

Just installed my Hids "Sealed beam conversion" in my 97 maro. Looks pretty good not what i was expecting, but i guess thats what u get for not using a projector. So i went out bought some 885 fogs, sylvanias i believe they were.. They look straight up crap halogen color when the lights are on... BUT with the fog switch on... i unlock my car and the fogs flash briefly. The brightness is night and day. When i unlock the car and they flash there a nice healthy white color, but when i turn the car on and look at them, crap yellowish color. Im thinking possibly the hid kit is screwing with it. Drawing too much power or somthing??? Open for suggestions really confused.

P.s. The hids are 9006s straight plug and play i didnt fuse them or anything. "Need to though."

Are they wired on the same circuit or seperately.

Try disconnecting your headlights again and see what the fogs look like when on.

When I turn on my headlgihts MY HIDs cause my DRLs to dim, not the fogs. aybe the stock harness isn't enough to power the fogs and HIDs

hmmmm... idk, The HID kit in the head lights is a 35 Watt kit... It shouldnt be drawing too much power. I Tried un plugging the HID's and then fireing up the fogs, still the same problem. The Wiring like i said hasnt been modified.. i doubt its on the same circuit unless it came factory wired like that. I just ordered HIDS for the fogs as well, so well see what happens mabye this crap will work it self out.. thanks for the input il let you guys know if i find out a problem.
