My stock alarm system

My 98 camaro has that GM alarm system where you press Lock on the key fob and it beeps twice. Then when the alarm is activated the car beeps a lot.

Okay im sure you know what im talking about, so here is my problem:

Since yesterday, everytime i press the lock button the car locks and everything is normal, then 10 seconds later the alarm goes off for 2 beeps, then stops. Im not talking about the 2 small beeps that happen when u lock the car, these are 2 extra, louder beeps, same as the alarm.

am i explaining this good? what could be causing my alarm to go off for 5 seconds when i lock my car?? I hate problems like this, always cost lots of money.

I know we have a dual shock sensor, meaning it has the warn away alarm which you are describing that beeps twice if lighly hit or bumped. Then there's the actual alarm if hit or bumped hard, or door open. Try adjusting the sensor. It's located in your trunk where the spare tire is on the wheel well. It's just a knob you turn up or down like a volume button. Good luck.
