My battery gage is reading 9-10 volts making the check gages light come on. ive checked the voltage several times and the battery is fine. what could cause this? what should i check besides the battery connection? Im not too great when it comes to electronics

Damn. Looks like we might have another one. Several of us on the board, including myself, have had similar symptoms. Have your batt and alt professionaly load tested. Most auto parts stores will do it for free. Next check every connection you can think of. Make sure you have good clean metal to metal contact. Free of debris. Also, check for proper belt tension. If the belt is slipping, alt output will suffer. Also the belt will wear MUCH quicker. Do a search for the two topics we have made in the general section. Hmmm.... keywords.... voltage, alt, batt, not....
