I have a problem with my head unit's preamp outputs. When they are both connected, its not as loud as it is with one channel connected. If I get a "Y" rca adaptor, and hook one channel from the headunit to both inputs on the amp, will it mess anything up? Anybody know??

Well, it will work but you'll have worse sound quality than if you did it the right way. Before I got my new CD player, my old one had one set of pre-outs, and my amps required 2 sets each, so I had splitters off of splitters off of splitters, worked and sounded decent, but sounds much better hooked up the right way now.New Car: 2004 GTP Comp G (Test Vehicle) 13.936@99.32
Mods: Cylinder Filter,No Mufflers, 3.3\"
Old Car: 2000 Formula 13.124 @ 106.01 with 2.73\'s
Other Car: 1993 Firebird 16.1@83
