Two questions about LCD's

Hey, I tried searching, but couldn't find what I needed. I have two questions about LCD's:

1) Where Could I buy an LCD to put into my car? I'm thinking between 5 and 7" is as big as I'll need.

2) Say an LCD is laying face up on the dash durring the summer in a parked car, will it be damaged?

Well first where do you want to put it? In dash? Visor? Hanging?


No it wont get damaged because of the heat.

Crystalfontz.com is the big internet retailer for LCD's. You need some electronics geek skill though.

Not sure about heat damage.

problem with Crystalfontz.com is that all of their screens are raw.

could you be more specific on what kind of LCD your looking for....a simple 4x20 character screen or a full color "tv" screen?????.....if a character screen what do you plan on hooking up to it???....laptop possibly?

Try to get a TFT display, they cost a bit more their more clearer and have a better viewing angle than a LCD display.

I run all TFT displays in my camaro.
