Speaker Addition Check it out

Im in need of some knowledge of the best way hook up my speakers for the best quality. The head unit im running is the JVC KD-AR5500 CD/MP3/WMA Touch Screen KD-AR5000 http://cgi.ebay.com/New-JVC-KD-AR550...QcmdZViewItem#
and the component speakers are the sony xplodes( which are in the process of being replace.


But i also have 2 10in subs and 4 6x9 in the trunk. Right now im running 2 6 1/2 2 6x9s and the 2 10s. I need a way to run them all. The two subs are sonys (800 max). If anyones got some suggestions or would like to c a picture of it, it looks pretty cool, post a reply please.

How much do you want to spend on amp to push those subs?

Do you want an amp to push your mid and highs or will you be running them off the 23 watts that come off the stereo?

Sounds maybe like a 5-channel amp is in order....


Just FYI, do not attempt to power more then one speaker per channel off the stock headunit. Unlike an outboard amp, the headunit cannot handle those 2 ohm loads.

Ive got two amps that ive tried to hook up to the 6x9s and all i get is bass, is there any real way to get more highs out of it. I dont know if the amps are any good or what. Im getting rid of them anyway. Would there be a certain way to hook them up?

umm just bass, hmm look for a high pass and low pass filter, put in on high pass!!
