Speaker System stolen

Here's a picture of mine before it was stolen today. It was a 15" eclipse aluminium and I had a phoenix Gold 800rms amp going to it.

The thieves tried to pop my locks but failed then apparantly smashed out the back window, climbed through, poped the trunk then stole my speaer, amp, and radio assembly including a few of the dashboard trim pieces they also tried to just take the whole car by busting through the steering column and attemting to circumvent the ignition assembly.

Police tell me that there is a small possibility that an evidence tech can come and lift traces off the bloody fingerprints that were left, but I highly doubt that. Here's pics

Also the back window just came out as a whole, I took this after cleaning up the large section of glass.

man that sucks i hope it never happens to me but i have full coverage so if it does i get my stuff back. do you got full coverage?

Where was your car parked, and didn't anyone hear the glass break??

I have to pay extra for this through Progressive. All policies come with $1k or $1.5k, but thats not enough to cover the price of my gear..... so I have to pay extra (Like $68/6months) for additional coverage. It's worth it IMO, even though I've been paying that for probably 5 years without a claim.

And FYI, Progressive made sure I knew I have to provide receipts for everything. Probably pictures too. Friends of mine say its hard as hell to get them to pay for stolen stereo gear with or without coverage. And how do I put a price on a fiberglass box I made myself? :mad:

The car was parked in my school parking lot, i only have no-fault insurance and I suppose that no one heard anything. It's a really raw situation

Hey man if you need some more speakers or such i have a Pioneer Head-unit with wiring harnes, Two 12' MTX 8000 in a custom box that fits flush in the hatch....You will have to remove the T-top holders but other than that i will sell for 250 shipped...

did this happen while you were in school or did you park your car there and ride in a different car...that sucks..i park my car in my garage for this reason...im not even going to take a risk. i hate losers that have nothing better to do than steal others people hard earned stuff. :rant:

what a sloppy job.. im not saying if your a thief to take your time but who the hell smashes a back window and climbs their *** around in the car for some sound system...

That sucks man. This is exactly why the first thing I bought was a two way alarm for my car. Its gone off a few times for stupid stuff but to me its worth it.

And why the hell would they smash the rear window vice one of the sides?

Yes I do. I've been at work in the middle of talking to customers and I just excuse myslef and run out.
