  • Ignition Fuse Blowing

So my ignition fuse, the 50 under the hood, keeps blowing and wont allow me to start the car. The only warning sign I got was I noticed the lights flicker or something the other day while driving, when I went to start it the next morning nothing happened and I noticed the fuse was blown. When I put a new one in it blow as soon as I try to start the car.

I do think I had some nitrous accessories wired through it, but dont remember exactly what since it's been awhile since i hooked it all up. I unhooked what i thought might be there, but the fuse still blew.

Any idea what causes this fuse to blow??

      Re: Ignition Fuse Blowing

The fuse doesn't blow when the key is in the on position, but blows as soon as i try to start the car. I pulled my starter off and took it to autozone and it failed the tests when they checked it, so i put a new one, but the fuse still blow. The only thing i've found that will stop the fuse from blowing is when i pull the 15 amp starter fuse under the hood. I've tracked the lines and don't see any place where it could be shorting out.

Any tips on how to track down this problem would be appreciated.
