that kit is in an entirely different league. I have some super white bulbs in my headlights and they are not as bright as stock. My dad has silverstars and noticed the same thing. The HID kit is a true HID conversion, which is why it costs so much more.
I've heard a lot of good things about that kit, but i don't know how it compares to the cheaper ones.
My 95 came stock with high intensity discharge lights. Just have to know how to operate them. Just pull that stick thingy sticking out of the left side of the steering column. Now that I figured that out, I drive with my HID's on ALL the time. (Unless I notice someone doesn't have glaring blue bulbs on their car, then I make sure to turn mine off).
