I had something similar happen. Whenever I hit the keyless entry, one headlight would act funny, come up, then go down. I found out that it was the headlight "transmission". Basically, where the knob is to manually flip it up or down. I replaced that unit and it's been fine ever since. Just sounded similar. Hope this helps.

The "knob" is part of the motor. Take a look at the Headlight control module. Thats what tells the lights to go up and down.

would the headlight control module just need replaced? or is it a fuse or something else?

You could check the fuse's first by it will most likely need to be replaced.

Where the red arrow is pointing. Right next to the fuse box.
