    LOL

do you even have the boost gauge hooked up?
    and if so, what to?

I concidered putting my gauges behind my vents but they didnt fit very well, are they 2 1/16" gauges? did you have to shave away plastic?

Yes its hooked up. Its hooked up to a vac. line under the hood. I shaved the vents and took the cross sections of the vents out as well as the middle moving peice.

lol, only if you had the fins in there to close it and keep it all hidden completely. Then nobody would ever know you had a blower.

Why didn’t you just get the pillar gauge pod that mounts on you’re a pillar? How would you even read that gauge where it is now? Not tryin’ to be mean just a question.

                  Re: stealthy gauge install...

its really easy to see. its in plain view of looking at the road...I didnt want to cut up/drill anything on my interior. I bought a spare vent for cheap, cut it out the way I needed it. Plus I didnt want an a-pillar gauge pod. Its only pushing 6lbs and I dont need to moniter the gauge for boost creep or anything like that. I just needed it to see how many lbs Im actually running.

nicely done, alot of people put them there but make custom mounting plates. i like how you kept the vent and everything.good job, i like it. and i too dont like the look of pillar gauges, just a personal opinion.

see how its placed in the middle of that vent?? why dont you just take out the fins around and over the gauge and leave the ones on the side in? i think that would look better but just my opinion

                        Re: stealthy gauge install...

It would have been to much time for me. Im a neat freak and like my stuff to be clean and have clean lines, I would have had to cut the vent, then melt the plastic in a perfect circle.

For a minute I was actually thinking of buying a spare speedo-plastic cover peice(the one that has the arch where you are looking through the wheel to the gauges) cutting it up, fiberglassing, painting it and putting another gauge there...

You know there was a time when I thought about doing something like that. The vent holes on my Firebird are already round.
