yes that is normal. make sure to check for leaks though :), use the uv pen light! also make sure your pressure is up to spec. alldata says the perfect pressure is 45psi on the low side with ac on max cool.
The pressure fluctuates between 40-45 but ill check it tomorrow to see if its dropped any drastically
it shouldnt be flucuating like that, it should remain steady. sounds like a problem with the seals in the compressor.. most of the time its the seals around the clutch
The pressure may fluctuate if the compressor is kicking on and off. Are you sure you're checking on max cool? If fully charged on max cool the compressor should stay on the whole time at idle. On low it may cycle. Also check for leaks. If the compressor seal around the clutch is bad it should be a pretty obvious leak on UV.
If there are no leaks that you can find, just drive it. Check the pressure every few days to see if it stays at that range. You may be fine. If the compressor does end up needing repair, you're better off getting a new compressor, but you may as well enjoy the AC for now any way.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
