so to make a long story short i purchased what i now believe to be a fake walbro fuel pump. How ever the symptoms match the described problems of the fake and the fact that the pump only has 4000 miles and is only 3 months old makes me wonder. so my question is to those who have bought a walbro recently what the exterior has stamped on it and what came with the kit.
from what i can tell if it's a fake they are good at it. but i can't decipher what the numbers are on it. the pictures i have seen show a patent number on it and the date of manufacture along with the model number. the bottom of the pump or the feed line into the pump doesn't look like the pictures i have seen of real ones either.
I'm looking for any information i can get so i can determine if it's a fake and send it to the place i bought my pump from and maybe get some resolution to this problem.
