  • Hey People with Fuel Pressure Gauge

I recently bought an Autometer Fuel Pressure gauge and I have a question. What adapter do you use to hook up the pressure sending unit to the shreader valve? Also how did you wire it and did you use a fuse like the instructions said so?

    hello

i searched high and low for that addapter i can't find it (both my sending unit and the vuale or mail and the one on the car is a diff size) so i got some fuel injection hose from advanced, and a a fitting to screw on to the sending unit that lets you put the hose on it. then i put it on with a clap and just shoved it over the vavle, (look at my cam vid in the louge you can see it in the vid) and claped it on the vavle it works but i would really like to find the adapter to it.

for the wiring i used somw wire from from advanced again. my sending unit only needs a ground, and it has the sending unit wire. its not perfect but i didn't have the time i will make it a clean install when im drivng the car more.

      I think that a -4an fitting will fit. If not a -4, it is a -3.

This is what AutoMeter told me when I asked what the heck I needed:

          Hello.

You can use a # 3227 stainless hose kit which is a #4 line kit which is 3 foot long. One end will thread onto your factory schraeder valve on the fuel rail and the fuel sender will thread into the other end with one of the hose kits supplied adapters.
There is a second way. Obtain Earls Fittings numbers 991001 and 923104 and they will mount the sender
          directly to the fuel rail.
          Thank you.

Ok, looking at Summit's site (saving me some PITA time in their retail store tomorrow) I figure that 991001 should do the job. Its a Fitting Coupler, 90 Degree, Male -3 AN to Male -3 AN for like 2.95. 923104 I'm unsure about. Its a Fitting Adapter, 90 Degree Female AN to Male Swivel NPT -4 AN to 1/8 NPT for 22.95. I think I'm going to buy the cheaper one first and then see if it will work with or without the expensive one. I'll let you guys know tomorrow.

On a side note. Would I be able to use the A-Pilar as a ground? I'm thinking it would make a good/easy ground and I would have less wires running throughout my car.

Ok I got this figured out, sorrta.

The bottom pic is what the connectors looks like (Sorry it sucks, its on my cardomain site only thing I have to post pics):
                          http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...page_id=288292

                          991001 is a female/female connector and 923104 is a 90* female/male connector.

Now I have to figure out how to remove the schrader valve (Help Anyone???) and pray their is enough room between the manifold.
