I just replaced my water pump and Im hearing alot of popping noise from the pump and my engine coolant temperature isnt rising. Plus I lost alot of antifreeze and I tried adding some but my radiator is instead overflowing??? Whats the problem here???

Are you filling it the right way? Have you opened the bleeder screw on the thermostat housing?

It'd be worth pulling back off of there to see if the impeller on the pump is hitting something. Did you replace the thermostat?

UPDATE: Popping sound was the pulley, it was still loose even though I thought I had tightened it... It's fixxed now... As for the temp - it goes up to 210 and stays there so I think everything is fine now...

Just wondering, how do you fill it the right way? I was going to do it through the radiator but it kept overflowing and wouldn't stop so I put the cap back on and filled it through the reservoir... I didn't open the Bleeder screw though... I didn't think about that - silly me.

I was trying to avoid doing that as much as possible mainly due to time constraints and the fact I'd probably would need more gasket sealant... tomorrow just to make sure for safety though I will pull the belt off and hand turn it to see if I can hear the same sound again.

Thermostat was recently replaced no more than 4k miles ago (old one got stuck open and caused my fans to stay on)...

Although the car is running fine, no leaks, no sounds anymore, regular temperatures...

How do I fill the coolant and bleed the system just in case? Because the car would only take half a quart of 50/50'd dexcool... anything over that would come spewing out the cap or overfill the reservoir but I'm sure I lost more than that when I pulled the pump.

just open the bleeder screw and let it go until nothing but a stream of coolant comes out. pretty easy.

only reason y it was over flowing is because you didn't bleed it. the air has to excape someway so it just found it's way out threw your rad.
