Make sure everything else is in tip-top shape before adding horsepower.

Make sure everything is maintained first!

          Then buy this: http://cartuning.ca/products/product...aro&engine=l36

It's the most complete turbo kit for our cars and comes with everything you need to be driving around with it. (Although I would put a walbro fuel pump in as well) A comparable set up will cost you more to get one off'd at a shop!

I'm making 400whp on an otherwise stock motor. And you can sell the N2O kit to pay for the shipping! :)

NOTE: You lose your AC with this. I doubt you wanna do that living in Orlando.

I bought the Camaro in MO. You need to look slightly harder.

You do know never to buy a used car in Florida right... bad news. Too many horror stories!

Why does everyone cry about AC...I haven't had AC is soooo long. And it gets HOT here in the summer...even my DD Integra has the AC deleted, fuel economy FTW!

                    @Meemperor,

You're in Toronto.. Your summer heat is much shorter than ours. It's 4C in Toronto today and 20C in Houston, TX.

Are you serious? You're in Toronto. Have you ever been to a state where it gets 120 Degrees Fahrenheit + High Humidity CONSISTENTLY for about 6 months? If you lived in Georgia, you would think twice about it, Especially Florida and Arizona which is practically impossible to survive in without A/C. In fact, you would probably be unable to drive a boosted car in those states without a VERY good tune, amazing intercooler, meth or lowering the PSI to almost half of what you desire to run.

I typed out just about the same thing, but didn't reply cause this guy clearly doesn't get it. You can't explain it to someone that hasn't had to deal with it. LOL, tell me how awesome no A/C is at 5pm when it's 115 in the shade and your leather seats are about 175.

As for the O.P. Nice car. PERSONALLY I wouldn't invest $5k on a turbo kit thats ganna lose my A/C mainly because unless you know what you're doing, turbo's can be very unreliable plus there's alot of things that can go wrong. NOW THIS ISN'T TO SAY THAT TURBO CARS ARN'T GOOD CARS OR FAST CARS... It's to say, unless you have a real passion to do it, you shouldn't. I would invest in an LS1 swap... It will be less finicky to your conditions and have more reliable potential than a turbo car would. Yes there ARE fast turbo cars out there, and the 3.8L V6 can be made very fast, but you need to know what you're getting into or you can vault ALOT of money into an unreliable setup.

                          Just my .02 ...

My car has an Amazing intercooler and a VERY good tune :p

I've been in the Caribbean with no AC for an extended period of time, again doesn't bother me. Rainy season too...humid and windows up!

Also I hate leather seats for that reason too hot in the summer too cold in the winter.

lol. Turbo cars are only unreliable because people are doing home tunes, using used parts and generally hodge podging their set ups together. Which is already if you're on a budget, but I have had 0 issues maintenance wise with my car. You need to know what you're doing if you plan on making power in an LSx too, or any platform out there. Like I said I have had NO issues with my turbo car...Well I did but BEFORE it was turbo lol. Nothing related to it has gone bad. Even my trans and rear are holding up thus far, but I don't crazy either.

Whatever floats your boat but not everyone can tolerate that kind of heat for extended periods. Even in the Caribbean I'm willing to bet the ocean effect makes life a lot more pleasant but even if I'm wrong, A/C was made for a reason... its a choice to keep it or not and personally $5k for a kit that's gonna cost you a luxury on the side seems a little steep... I see what you're saying, you're getting quality parts for the money but even with the most amazing stuff, you cant beat the laws of physics... look at smms, he has a very extensive and reliable turbo setup, good tune and all, but he definitely knew what he was getting into, and even he has to run meth because the sheer heat of AZ.

As for the LSX swap, you are right, but Turbo's are still alot more finicky then N/A cars...
