Hey i'm idleing to fast and it's not the idle air control valve what else would cause this.

Vaccuum leak, check all the vaccuum lines for leaks, use a piece of hose held to your ear or a stethoscope and move along lines and listen for air.
If their is a leak in the vaccum system it allows excess air to enter behind the throttle plate and the IAC valve, making it impossible to keep the idle down.
This is just a suggestion, there are numerous other things such as bad computer, stuck throttle plate, stuck IAC valve, etc.Jared W. I had almost the same problem last year. As soon as I would tap the gas pedal, the Idle would JUMP to about 3500rpm's by itself and stay there for about 5 seconds. It ended up being a minor vaccuum leak from a cracked Throttle Body Gasket, and my IAC Valve went bad. I ordered the gasket through GM, and a new IAC Valve I got at AutoZone for $26.00. Don't know if you are having the same problems than what I had, but hopefully it'll give you a starting point.

dealer can do interactive tests of iac valve, egr valve, etc with the tech2. the dealer tech can command iac to a certain voltage, then go check to see if the iac is receiving that voltage from pcm. tech2 is awesome.... gotta love those bidirectional scan tools....
rule out vacuum leak. check engine vacuum at idle. perform vacuum snap-throttle test and observe vacuum response. many things can cause high rpm idle... is it steady high, or is it a "hunting" idle?ASE Master, L1, X1, C1. Well it seems to be steady but it seems find whatever rpm it desires sometimes 2100 sometimes 1500 but i replaced the idle air control valve a few tims and still does it. another problem i'm having is vibrations and the idle seems to go up and down 100 which i think both might be connected to coil packMy new ride 2000 camaro, No mods yet still waiting for warranty to run out then all out heads, cam, and supercharger

um i dunno.... coil packs don't usually produce a steady high rpm when they fail. they usually stumble when under load.
i'm thinking fuel/air delivery/emissions related problem, either electrical or mechanical.
has your brake pedal become harder? check your one-way valve at your vacuum booster. you should be able to blow in one side but not the other.
may be a short in the circuit between pcm and iac valve or a sensor. possible crank sensor malfunction. sometimes jsut replacing the part will not cure the problem. you must also diagnose the circuit. check for reference voltage, sensor ground excessive voltage drop, and voltage drop across sensor with engine running.
