I bought MAFT+ off a v6 owner, checked the 4 dip switches and left them alone. Wired up the timing part, soldered my connections, plugged in the MAF part and took the car out with Autotap last night.
First thing I noticed is when I fired up the car I got a code. MAF Sensor Frequency Low or something like that.
Took the car out on some back roads and simulated 1/4 with WOT logging and there was a noticeable lack of power and some bogging.
Took MAFT+ off car and ran again... power back, no bogging.
So to my questions...
1. Has anyone seen this? Is my car in speed density mode and bypassing the maf?
2. What are the jumper positions for our cars? Maybe one got moved accidentally?
3. Can I run just the timing and not connect the MAF cables at the track?
Thanks
