• New Guy with Warrantee question

I have a 2002 Camaro. Right now i have the stock exhaust with 3.5" slash cut tips (dual outlets). I want to put in flow masters but the Servise department manager at my dealersaid t would void my warrantee. Is he right or is there a way around it. I really want the sound of a flow master system.

You only void the warantee on what you mod so only the warantee on your muffler would be voided

That was the first thingi asked him. He said it voids the entire warrantee. It really p*ssed me off. I have no clue who to believe. Every dealer's service manager tels me the entire warrantee would be voided. Has anyone had any warrantee work done after they installed there own mods?

I have intake and exhaust work and they know it and they still service my vehicle w/o a problem. I swear I hate most of the tech ppl at the dealerships.

It will not void your whole warranty, there is no way it can, and the federal law backes this up too, if your service manager says something else, tell him you will ask your lawyer.

I really wish these service managers would get their sh*t together. Are they lying to me or are they just stupid?

Can GM void your warranty on your shocks, because you put on a flowmaster? Federal law says no connection, no way. GM is unlikely to try that. If it went to court the judge would get ugly.

Can they void your warranty on the pipe going into the flowmaster because you put on a flowmaster? Probably.

Can they void your warranty on internal engine parts because you put on a flowmaster? They can claim a connection and they have better technical experts and lawyers and more money to fight than you do. They might try it or it might not be worth it to them.
