I did the seafoam today and took some pics. Here ya go.

You can get seafoam from Napa for $3.99 (at least I did). I only needed 1 can. Here is what it looks like:
http://www.thenebula.com/carpics/pics2/seafoam.jpg

Start your car and let it idle for a minute or two to get it warmed up then open the Seafoam. Grab the Brake Booster line and pull it out.
Here is what the booster line looks like. Its on the drivers side of the engine:

You'll hear your RPM's jump as soon as you do it so don't worry! Once you pull the booster line out start slowly pouring the Seafoam in it. It'll sucked it up so dont worry about spilling it. Keep pouring it in until the car stalls out. If it doesn't stall out then just shut your car off. Wait 5-6 minutes then start it up again. Make sure you're in a ventilated area! Heres what mine looked like once i started it up:

The next time you drive on the road it'll smoke for about 5 min so be ready!.

Let me add, pour slowly. You can hydrolock your engine if it doesn't burn off fast enough, and that would be...

Bad...

Good instructions, tho.

Hydrolock??? is this actually possible? First attempt on my buddies car, we stalled it after about 2 seconds, way too fast. Car started fine, but no smoke. Second attempt we did it real slow, and got a little smoke.

Absolutely, you can hydrolock the engine with seafoam. You want to make sure you're pouring it in slowly enough.

In fact, other similar products have warning labels. Seafoam is the only one I've seen that doesn't even mention the danger, which I've always found to be odd. I still use Seafoam, myself, though because I think it's a better product.

(NOTE: DO NOT attempt this if you don't know what you are doing! You can suck too much fluid in too fast, and "hydrolock" your engine (fluid is incompressible - too much, and it is like trying to crush a rock), which can destroy valves, rings, pistons, or the head or block.

Don't you have to pour the rest of the can in the gas tank?
When are you supposed to do this? I though i heard once that you do it 500 miles before a oil change.
1995 Camaro 3.4L
dynomax super turbo muffler
SLP CAI
It\'s red so it must be fast!!!

You don't *have to* but you can. You can use half a can dumped right in with the engine oil (make sure you are not low on oil and you don't use more than half a can) and you can also use half a can in the fuel tank to clean out the injectors.

In the oil, I'd get an oil change after about 500 miles of running with the foam in there, and I wouldn't run the engine up to redline either.

If you have an oil leak, and you seafoam, you may have seafoam smoke coming out of your oil leak! I have a valve cover leak, and white smoke was coming out of my leak. Scared the crap out of me until I knew what it was.
